Quest for Enlightenment
I've been working with Will Power and Mind Power for the last two months, trying different techniques. Every person and every website has a different theory. Some say dwell on it until you get it, and others insist on forgetting it. Either way I will be posting my experiences in this blog as things start coming my way.
I've been listening to subliminal, supraliminal, hypnosis, and affirmation MP3's for the last month with good results. I find Hypnosis MP3's to be a good concept, but not practical. Most of us aren't suggestible enough to be hypnotized. It's out of my league. I find the instructions on the MP3's to be beneficial for later use with Relaxation techniques at most, but it is handy to know several methods to calm the mind and body.
So let's discuss Subliminals..I have listened to a smoking cessation track for a little over a month, but after about a week I found the smell of cigarettes distasteful. A few days later, I find that I can't smoke an entire cigarette at once. So now I'm in the transition period, I'm smoking half-cigarettes at a time but I'm not fully ready to quit. Bottom line: If I had the full intentions of quitting, the subliminal MP3 would've made it happen.
Supraliminals - I've only been listening to these steady for about a week, so time will tell. Supraliminals are like affirmations, but directed to individual sides of the brain. You HAVE to wear headphones with these, alike regular subliminal tracks. Alas, I broke my headphones yesterday so that's going to retard my progress for a few days. Try Google-ing "Laura De Giorgio" or "Deep Trance Now" to find the link to her newsletter. Once subscribed, you will have the ability to download several Hypnotic and Supraliminal MP3's.
And last but not least - Affirmations. Simply positive statements repeated to yourself constantly. Why do I care for the MP3's when I could easily create my own?
1) The tracks usually suggest Affirmations that I would have never thought of myself.
2) It's easy to forget to repeat your affirmations as much as you should. So when you're preoccupied writing blog entries, reading the news, etc - You'll hear it playing in your ears. It never lets you forget, and to reap the benefits all you have to do is simply agree with the statements being made.
I'll be posting reviews on all of these topics on Seeking Enlightenment in the near future, as more results are acquired.
Also: A forum is on the way, including just the basic topics of the website for now. Stay tuned.
